The Life Education Centres’ programme was conceived in Australia by Ted Noffs in the late 1970s and was established in the UK in 1986 following a visit by HRH the Prince of Wales during which he encouraged the charity to set up in the UK. There have of course been many developments to the Life Education programme since this time but in all 14 countries that operate the programme the underlying message promoted by Ted Noffs remains.

“Each second we live is a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that will never be again... And what do we teach our children? We teach them that two and two makes four, and that Paris is the capital of France. When will we also teach them: Do you know what you are? You are a marvel. You are unique."
Pablo Casals

Millions of children in many countries now participate annually in the Life Education Centres programmes.
