BUPA
BUPA, the independent healthcare organisation, has played a major role this year in supporting our work. In June, Salford Life Education was presented with a new mobile classroom sponsored by BUPA and can now reach a further 12,000 local children every year. The keys were handed over by Monica Owen, BUPA Community Connections Manager, at a special ceremony, involving schools from Salford and Greater Manchester. Actor William Roache, a long-term supporter of Life Education, took time off from working on Coronation Street to join in the celebrations.

"Alcohol abuse costs UK business nearly £3 billion every year in sickness absence, premature deaths, accidents and crime. So there are clear benefits in getting involved in health education partnerships. Particularly those partnerships which will help customers, employees, their children and the economy as a whole"

Dr Andrew Vallance-Owen
Group Medical Director for BUPA

Rotary Great Britain & Ireland
RIBI has been instrumental in the introduction and support of Life Education work in the community for many years. We greatly value the business skills, expertise and knowledge of their local communities that Rotarians bring to our organisation. As trustees, volunteers and fundraisers their contribution has been pivotal in enabling us to reach so many children and we look forward to our continued association.
